Milestone Bike Ride in support of Nazareth Hospital EMMS

The Edinburgh Medical Missionary Society began running Bike Rides to support the work of Nazareth Hospital in 1992. In 2001, the Society became two separate charities, EMMS International and EMMS Nazareth.

July Workparty from Essex, England

The hospital was delighted to welcome a work group of 10 volunteers from Meadgate Church, Chelmsford, UK, under the leadership of Rev Mones Farah. The group helped in the July heat by painting and doing maintenance work in the hospital canteen and in the Emergency Room among other places

We were also privileged to have their participation in the spiritual activities of the hospital by leading the weekly English Sunday service with Sally Farah speaking and Andrew Brown leading worship.

News from Nazareth Village - A Lamp unto my Feet, a Light to all Nations

At the end of every tour of Nazareth Village, each participant receives a gift—a careful reproduction of an actual first-century lamp which can be used to burn olive oil or other lamp fuel.

One such lamp opened a new door for teaching the story of salvation, half-way around the world!
