SERVE Nazareth has grown out of a vision to bring Christians from around the world together in service, to encourage the body of Christ in Nazareth and equip young people for future ministry.
We believe that
and look to Him as our example: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10: 45.
Participants will spend several months with us, working alongside the different denominations in Nazareth and will join these diverse communities together with universities, colleges, and churches around the world.
We are also offering participants the chance to further their education and Biblical knowledge through educational courses in partnership with a well respected seminary. These courses will support and encourage understanding of the Bible and the culture of the Middle East.
The third strand of this unique programme is service in the wider community. Our action teams will take on community projects, including acts of kindness and service, children’s work and also serving the Hospital. Through this we seek to bless Nazareth as a whole, as well as encouraging the local churches and ministries.
SERVE Nazareth participants will:
where Jesus lived.
through a seminary course.
local ministries and the community.
through dynamic teaching.
With two programmes per year, for three and six months in Nazareth, this opportunity can fit into every schedule and includes a time of preparation at home for 11 weeks as well as a week in the UK before coming to Israel.
For the staff as they work each day to ensure that the programme is effective and glorifying to God.
For the participants as they go through the application and preparation stages.
We pray for each one that they will not only be a blessing in Jesus’ home town but that they will take with them an even greater blessing, returning equipped for further ministry.
